our kissing bells

I really wanted us to have kissing bells. Our own kissing bells. :) I think they're cute, fun to have, and absolutely delightful when rang at the reception. :D So I set off for Divisoria to get the rest of the materials I needed. I already have the ribbons that I'll be using. I already have a lot of those. I made sure I had enough for whatever do-it-yourself projects I had in mind (or will be doing in the future). And I already have the gold thread to be used for the tags (thanks, Mom! *grin*). What I needed are the bells (very important in this case! *grin*) and the tags to be placed on the bells. Cute little tags. :D

And so off to Divi I went. Towed by my Mom. :D She's the best haggler in the world. :D You need to have great bargaining skills if you wish to survive in Divisoria. Mwehehe! :D I thought I had a knack for it. But with Mom, I pale desperately in comparison. :D

And so we got the medium sized bells. The small ones sounded so bleak. Hahaha! And I think no matter how vigorous you try to shake them no amount of expended energy could make you hear them in a garden. Hahaha! The big ones looked so... Big. Too big. Mala-kampana. :) So the medium ones were perfect, Mom and I thought. Got a bunch of them so that there would be around 3 bells-a-ringing in a table.

And then for the tag. Hmm.. What to put? Geez! So hard to think of the right rhyme to put on the cutesy bells. They should be able to explain the bell's purpose without sounding so cerebral. We wanted to stick to the fun side of things, and not be so rational about it.

And so here goes our rhyme (I got some of it from a fellow wawie bride, thanks sis! *grin*)

Today, as we gather,
Wish us love to last forever,
If you would like us
to share a wedded kiss,
Ring the bell
for lifelong bliss. :D

Heehee! Even as I read it now I smile. :D
